Glory Oguegbu

Next up in the Speaker Lineup is our Founder, Glory.

Glory Oguegbu is a Nigerian clean energy entrepreneur, Obama Foundation Scholar, and author who built an institution with no funding, no connections, and one year of national service as her only starting point.

In 2013, as a 22-year-old NYSC corper posted to a rural community in Kwara State, she raised funds independently to build a cassava processing factory for 200 widows she had never met. That one decision, made in the face of real danger and with no guarantee of reward, became the foundation of everything that followed.

She is the founder of the Renewable Energy Technology Training Institute (RETTI), which has trained over 4,200 solar technicians across 12 African countries, and the Solar Innovators Research Fellowship (SIRF), supported by the ECOWAS Commission. Named by The Economist as one of the Top 5 Women Working to Change the World, she has delivered keynotes at the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue by invitation of the German Federal Government, the World Bank IFC, Columbia University, and the International Energy Agency in Paris.

She served as Nigeria's official delegate to the UNFCCC COP 25 and on Project Drawdown's Advisory Board representing Sub-Saharan Africa.

She is the author of Dare to Be Audacious. At TEDxKings Square Women 2026, she will tell the story behind that title.
